A Life Steeped in Sound
The Duo- Anna Orlik and Diana Pasko, violins
Diana and Anna met at the International Menuhin Music Academy, Switzerland, and discovered their passion for playing together as well as the beauty of rarely performed, unique repertoire for two violins.
The uniqueness of The Duo lies in the quality of the players, who as experienced soloists and chamber musicians, have already performed all over the World: Victoria Hall in Geneva, le Rosey Carnal Hall, Auditorio Santa Ursula in Lima/ Peru, Teatro Municipal De Las Condres in Santiago de Chile, CCK Buenos Aires/Argentina, Casa del la Musica in Quito/Ecuador, Warsaw National Philharmonic Hall, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Festival Mecklenburg- Vorpommen, Pietrasanta Festival, Crans Montana Classics Festival; and worked with worldwide -format artists as Maxim Vengerov, Cecilia Bartoli, Vladimir Spivakov and Avishai Cohen Trio.
In their new, unique project, they have decided to connect their ‘musical super-powers’, and use their experiences, talents and rare musical abilities to deliver the highest quality of music to their audience.

BIOS
Anna Orlik
Polish-born Violinis is a laureate of competitions including: 1st Prize and Special Prize at the 6th International Wolfgang Marschner Violin Competition in Germany; Haverhill Sinfonia Deena Shipitka 2015 Music Award, UK; Solo Award and Ludwig Spohr Foundation Prize at the International Max Reger Competition in Sondershausen, Germany; International Festival Allegro Vivo Award, Austria; and in Poland, Special Prize at the International Karol Szymanowski Competition, Łódź; and three prizes at the Stanisław Serwaczyński Violin Competition, Lublin: 3rd Prize, Youngest Finalist Prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation of Karol Josef Lipiński’s work. As a laureate of Young Artist Program of the Rome Chamber Music Festival, she was invited to perform at Palazzo Barberini in Italy.
Most significant appearances from the last seasons include performances during Ohrid Music Festival in Macedonia, and also Gstaad Menuhin Festival where she have performed Sonata for two violins by S. Prokofiew together with legendary violinist Maxim Vengerov.
Anna’s performing experience includes solo appearances with Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Lower Silesia Philharmonic Orchestra, Podkarpacka Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Zielona Góra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra (Sopot), Łomża Chamber Orchestra, Z.Brzewski Warsaw String Orchestra, Polish Land Armed Forces Orchestra, Loh- Orchester Sondershausen, Deutsche Spohr Philharmonie Freiburg, Deutsche Spohr Akademie Freiburg. She has performed as a soloist or with recitals in all over the Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.
In 2016 Anna joined the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland, where she was personally invited by Maestro Maxim Vengerov to study under him and Oleg Kaskiv. Previously she graduated the Royal Academy of Music in London with first class honors and special awards received from the Academy. In London she studied violin with Maurice Hasson and Mateja Marinkovic, and viola with James Sleigh. Anna studied also the F.Chopin Music University in Warsaw.
Anna has received the following scholarship awards: The Ministry of Culture,Young Poland, the Royal Academy of Music Scholarship, Leverhulme Trust, Jenkins Award, Tillett Trust/ Colin Keer Trust. Anna has been generously supported by the Zetland Foundation.
She plays Januarius Gagliano violin from 1770, generously made available to her by a private sponsor.
Diana Pasko
Diana was born in Crimea and commenced violin and piano studies from the age of four. At the age of six, she gave her first public appearance with two recitals as a first-grader of the Special Musical School in Ukraine, Kharkov.
From 1998 to 2005, she studied at the Central Special Music School affiliated with the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory under the tutelage of professor Zoya Makhtina. She subsequently studied under professor Maya Glezarova at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and she completed her Postgraduate studies with Distinction from the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory.
A laureate of multiple international competitions, Diana has seen success in competitions including 1st prize and People’s Choice Award at “Oldenburger Promenade” in Germany; 2d prize in “Yankelevich” International Violin Competition in Russia; 1st prize at the 2012 Schlern International Music Festival in Italy; 4th prize at “Premio Paganini” 54th International Violin Competition in Genova, Italy; 2nd prize at the International Violin Competition “Violin Masters 2016″ in Monte Carlo, Monaco and most recently 4th prize at the “Rodolfo Lipizer” International Violin Conpetition in Gorizia, Italy.
In 2013, Maestro Vladimir Spivakov invited her to be an artist of his state chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” and she has subsequently toured the world with this elite ensemble.
She has played with numerous international ensembles as soloist including state chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi”; Svetlanov statue symphony orchestra, Genova symphony orchestra, the Monte Carlo symphony orchestra.
Following her performance at the “Violin Masters 2016″ international competition, Diana was personally invited to study for an Artist Diploma under Maestro Maxim Vengerov and professor Oleg Kaskiv at the International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA) in Switzerland and has performed as soloist and concertmaster with IMMA`s chamber ensemble The Menuhin Academy Soloists, having toured in such countries as the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and around South America.
